Attention Youth Members - Dinner is back!
Due to the overwhelming response received at the April 19th meeting of parents willing to cook for our youth, Sunday night dinner will again be provided to the youth group at 6:00pm in the FLC (Family Life Center). The Youth are still in need of a Youth Minister/Director. However, we as parents and First Baptist Church of DeLand members need to stay in touch with this continual vacancy/need.

Steve Mesibov offered to organize half court basketball, Sheryl Long offered her pool as an occasional summer meeting place, and Cameron Lane offered to lead Sunday night Bible study temporarily. Other great ideas were expressed by adults and youth alike. A steady flow of adults willing to provide dinner and or lead Sunday night youth will be necessary until this position is permanently filled.

So please keep in mind, if you find yourself with too much relax-time in your life and have the urge to cook for 20 plus young people on any given Sunday night; feel free to sign up. The sign up sheet can be located on the Youth bulletin board in the FLC hallway. The youth will eat just about anything from just about any cook, as long as the meal begins with food and ends with dessert. Thank you for donating your precious time to the young adults of our future.

Youth group meets from 6:00pm to 8:00pm each Sunday night. Once a month the youth will meet at a host family’s home. The schedule for these meeting places can be found on the youth bulletin board. You may sign up to host a Sunday night youth meeting. It would be great if you could provide a simple map, address, and phone number one week in advance to the church office via hard copy or email fbcmail@fbcdeland.org. Up coming events information can be found in the church bulletin, on the Website calendar, and/or on the Youth bulletin board.

Cameron Lane has generously offered to lead the youth Bible study on Sunday nights for the next six weeks. October 30 - Youth Bonfire. Looking for something exciting to do on a chilly Florida night? You're invited to join us around the bonfire on Friday night from 6:00-9:00pm. It's part of our Family Halloween Bash.
