Our Ministries

Education Ministries
First Baptist has Bible study classes for all ages in a traditional Sunday School. We also have a number of special studies offered on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights.

ECDC - Early Childhood Development Center
We provide child care and child development for bed babies through pre-kindergarten age. Our ECDC is known as one of the best pre-schools in the area.

Music Ministry
First Baptist uses both traditional and contemporary music as ways of worshiping God. In our traditional worship services we have a sanctuary choir and one of the largest pipe organs in our area. Our contemporary service involves a number of members who play various musical instruments and who lead the congregation in praise choruses.

Spanish Congregation
Iglesia Bautista Betania (Bethany Baptist Church) meets in our chapel every Sunday morning for worship. This congregation, worshiping in Spanish, is made up of people from various Spanish cultures including Mexican, Puerto Rican, Central and South American, and Cuban.

Student Ministry

FBC not only provides Sunday School classes for middle school and high school youth, we also provide growth producing Bible study and worship on Wednesday nights and Sunday nights. Our youth ministry provides for recreation in our gymnasium and takes youth groups on summer spiritual growth camp experiences and mission trips.

Benevolence Ministry
A team of volunteers interview people in need every Monday morning in our church office. Our Benevolence Ministry provides funds for people who need assistance in paying for utilities, prescriptions, rent, and groceries.

Senior Adult Ministry
Our Senior Adults meet monthly throughout the year. They enjoy programs that entertain, educate, and provide guidance for the unique challenges seniors face. They also visit area restaurants together on a regular basis and occasionally take trips to interesting locations.

Deacon Ministry
We have a team of men and women who give pastoral care to church members through groupings built within Sunday School classes.
