ECDC is a state approved VPK-4 provider. this program is sponsored by the state of Florida and its purpose is to ensure that children entering the states public school system have received appropriate training to prepare them for kindergarten. This means that our curriculum and our teaching staff must meet the state's standards in order to participate in this statewide program. Our center has been approved and we wholeheartedly support this program as it provides tremendous benefits to your child, which will extend past his/ her last year at ECDC into elementary school. an additional and key benefit to your family is that the state will subsidize a portion of your child's tuition during the year in the VPK-4 program. In order to participate, your child must be registered with the state. In return, you will receive free tuition for the morning hours of each school day, no registration fee and no supply fee. You will only need to pay the appropriate hourly rates for before and after school care for you child each day. This is a significant cost reduction for you and a great way to best prepare your child for kindergarten. In the spring of each year we will provide the families of rising four year olds with the appropriate information regarding the next Fall's VPK-4 program.
