Infants are introduced to exploring the world through their senses (sight, hearing, taste, touch, and smell). In the early months of life, a great part of your child's day is spent sleeping short periods of walking for feeding.

It is very important to talk to the infants in order to aid their social development. Visual stimulation is not included as well. Color is used generously in pictures, bulletin boards and objects near the crib and in child's line of vision.

Whereas infants' major interests include meeting fundamental physiological needs, children at the creeper age begin to focus their attention on these areas:

  • Primary care giver
  • exploration of surroundings
  • Mastering new motor abilities

Opportunities for increased stimulation are added to the environment as the children develop. New experiences include buggy rides, outdoor play, music, toys that make a variety of sounds and objects that encourage reaching and exploring.

As the child's motor skills continue to develop and they gain the ability to move freely in their environment, a natural curiosity is encouraged. Pure uncontaminated curiosity is a fundamental to solid educational development. Introducing new activities such as story time, finger painting, songs, finger plays, and increased outside play encourages curiosity and develops the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs of the child.
