Two year olds are beginning to respect and obey rules, use language to express their wishes, try out activities and see themselves as independant persons. They are not eager to share with each other since they must learn to handle negative feelings.

Materials in the curriculum for this age group promote language development, thinking and motor skills and self-esteem awareness. Two's need a great deal of social interaction with adults, but in a limited way. They need to play near and with other children.
